Product uses and product liability

Should the timber be cross cut or in any other way cut into, then exposed surfaces are to be brushed with an end grain wood preservative in accordance with the instructions on the end grain wood preservative container. End grain wood preservative can be purchased from multiple retailers and to find a supplier search 'end grain wood preservative' into an internet search engine.

The products must have been correctly installed and only subject to normal domestic use.

No Guarantee is offered on products subject to abuse, negligence, improper use or modifications.

Please do not purchase our products if you are not competent in understanding the nature of these types of timbers for use in an external environment. We do not supply internal finish timbers, unless the product page specifically says so.

The development and appearance of the natural properties of timber are not defects with the product/s and are not a reason for trying to claim for repairs, replacements or refunds. We supply timber products designed for external garden use and our designs take into account the structural integrity of timber's natural properties.

Our products are pressure treated to Class 3 usage unless otherwise stated, and should only be used for out of ground contact situations – Use Class 3 usage

Oak and other untreated products should be treated in accordance to their intended use.

We cannot be held responsible for any damage caused by improper care, use or storage of timber.

With untreated timber, there is always a risk of insect attack and fungal decay. Please check the quality of purchased items and inform us within 30 days of purchase if they are affected.

We do not treat any of our Oak or timber that doesn't specifically say so.

A suitable treatment should be applied by the customer to prevent aforementioned insect attack/ decay.

The shortening of timber posts should be avoided, if possible. If shortened, the cut end must never be used in ground contact and an end grain wood preservative should be applied.

Timber should not be removed from its original installation and re-used at another location.
